Fishing Trip

Sorry to everyone I have not really had a lot to talk about but ball, work, ball, and work….lol

But this past weekend the four of us and mom and dad went on a fishing trip to LA. The guys went Friday morning and got in some great fishing. Mom and I didn’t head that way till I got off work. Start of with I left my car in Meadville at a friends so I wouldn’t have to come home first then head back. Jumped in the car w/ mom and turned the corner not knowing she had a bunch of shiners in the back in a cheap Styrofoam ice chest for the fisherman. So guess what happened the back of moms car was soaked. Mom and I had a great time heading over there watching all turns after that to make sure no more water sloshes out the cooler. Now mom was told to stop in Natchez to put a couple of handfuls of ice in the cooler w/ the “fishies” to make sure they didn’t die from where she picked them up at. We followed orders and done as told.

We finally make it to the area where we thought we were going and Tim had told me to go one way and mom was thinking another. Well we ended going the wrong way and but some nice game wardens that was about to get on the lake to patrol was able to get us back on the road again. BTW couldn’t use phones while there no service at all. Not easy when you really don’t know where you’re going without cell service.

We finally made it and the guys were so glad to finally get their fish so they can go bait their lines. We open the back up and there is water everywhere and they grab the box and open the lid and every….I mean EVERY one of them lil suckers were dead. Mom and I was rolling cause I told her on the way that they were going to be popsicles but noooo she said that’s what he told me to do with them.

Two of ours were not feeling to well Saturday but that’s ok the kids had a great time fishing and so did I. Mom and I even went out in the boat by ourselves Saturday afternoon for a bit. Didn’t catch nothing but she had a good time being out on the water. I ended up getting me another tackle box and gave my old one to mom since she was having fun fishing. So off to Wal-Mart she went to get her some new tackle for her lil tackle box. She was like a kid with a new toy.

I missed a big one Saturday night I got him all the way to me and he snapped my line. I ran off and forgot my camera but took some pictures of the boy’s bigger ones w/ my phone best I could do. We came back with a 10 bass that the boys snagged and 15 catfish that Tim and I caught staying out till 3 in the morning with the kids fishing.

It has been a busy couple of weeks with awards, baseball, new job, baseball, doctor appointments, baseball, and running the road. By the way did I mention baseball? No really we love some baseball but it does get crazy but between me, mom & dad, and really close friends the whole gang seems to make it. Here are a few pictures that I have taken over the past couple of weeks to share w/ everyone.

For the ones that don’t know but last year I went to Natchez once a week to take pictures as the river came up and it was amazing and hayzach really got into it as well. We were able to walk in a spot that last year was roped off by the time we started w/ the picture taking.

Well it has been another crazy week. Zach got sick then everyone else in the family ended up with it but thankfully not me. Zach finally went back to school Friday and Hayden will be going Monday just started feeling better Friday night. Tim passed it pretty quick just has the nagging cough left.

Don’t really have pictures to share because most are the kids and baseball. Zach hitting them over the fence and Hayden didn’t have any games this week. But will share one picture. I was able to get my hands on a piece of Tim’s grandma Katie’s rose. Now for the ones that don’t know I’m not very good with outside plants. Well I got it last year with just a short little root. I planted it in a pot so I could protect it better through the winter. This year it’s still on the small size so I decided to leave it in the big pot. I woke up the other morning to find it blooming. I went and found Tim and told him his grandma has something for him this morning. He was so happy to see it making. I was even thinking it was not going to make it. And for the ones that know what is going on with my husband right now he really needed that. Over the week I have watch 7 bloom. Now I’m wondering if I should transfer it to my flower bed. Any info on that would be helpful.

Zach had a game last night against a Liberty team and pitched a no hitter. They did put someone else to pitch the 6th inning which was fine with me because they all need a chance and that far ahead why not. Zach has the total of 7 homeruns this season a grand slam, winning score home run, and as of last night two in one night.
Hayden and Zoe!!!!!

Well it’s time for me to play catch up again. Friday night balls games and took this picture in passing but liked it so well decided to share.

I got suckered and ended up with 3 boys staying the night with Zach. At 1 o’clock in the morning they were outside playing football. Not really sure what time they went to bed but I called it a night once they came inside. Hayden slept over at a friends house so didn’t have to deal with the “lil brother” stuff.

Saturday night Zach hit a grand slam. This being his second!!! I’m very proud of both of my boys and their athletic ability. Zach had friends over again but this time only 2 and Hayden still at friend’s house.

Sunday was spent swimming and playing ball. This is one of the kids doing their tricks which I got the honor of being the judge. He's doing the dolphin

The week has been very busy. Since Zach’s allergy test came back so bad Dr. B decided it would be a good idea to have Hayden tested also. Well today we took him and he will also start allergy shots but one thing I’m glad it’s not as bad as Zach’s one good thing going for the kid.

Zach is going to kill me for this one. But it has been along time since I have seen him do this. The other night I looked up from the computer to see him like this and was able to sneak the camera before he moved. Tim said he was just buttering him up for something.

Hayden has been the one I have not been able to get a picture of well I finally was able to get some. The “fat cat” decided he wanted to play on the computer also.

Zach turns 12!!!!

Sorry everyone it’s been a crazy week so I'm going to play catch up now.

Zach had a birthday on the 6th and we went to Jackson to have an allergy test done. Well he has an allergy to everything on the list including horses, dogs, cats, Bahia and rye grass. All of which are on this hill. That’s not including that he is also allergic to both types of dust mites. Didn’t know there was more than one. Boy have I learned a lot this week reading up on things I need to do to his room. But I am glad its just nose problems and not asthma. He will be starting allergy shots soon. Then on to
bass pro where he spent birthday money and bought everything he had been wanting.

The rest of the week was just normal baseball games and practice both of the boys did very good in their games. Both are pitching this year and it makes me really nervous. Zach hit one over the fence again Friday but when he did it he busted his bat. He has used this bat for 4 years now and loves it. For the past 3 days in my spare time I have been looking online to try to find him another one just to be used for the rest of this season. But maybe Hayden will be able to use it before to long.

Friday I let some friends spend the night total of 5 kids running through the house. The little ones finally crashed around 3 and the two older ones I left alone. They started the next morning around 8 getting up. Took all of them fishing and I think we all had a good time. Only two of them caught a fish. But when the smallest says Ms Donna Jo I’m tired I know its time to go. Wonder where he gets calling me Donna Jo from?????

It’s been a busy week. Ball practice and games officially started Friday. Zach started with pitching Friday and this mom was very nervous. It’s strange this year a very good friend of Zach’s is on the other team and usually they are together. After watching all these boys for 6 years you get to know and love all of them. We lost Friday but did great today. Zach hit one over and will upload the pics as soon as I get them.

Was outside doing yard work and saw something today that I have never seen before in my life. It was the prettiest bumblebee. It looked normal but his wings and bottom were blue. I thought I was crazy till it started buzzing me again. Tried to get a picture of it but it would not sit still long enough. But I did some searching on the internet and found a pic of one that was just like it. I never knew there was such a thing.

The past couple of days have been amusing. For whatever reason my blood pressure has been going up and down but not to the point to worry but just to make me feel bad.

Today Zach had a practice game and he was told at last practice that he would be catching. Well for whatever reason the cup was too small. I was rolling as Zach and Tim went round and round discussing what the cup was doing wrong. Not going to get into a lot of details but trust me my side was hurting by the time they gave up. But I will be going to look for another one before the weekend. The practice game was great a lot to work on but it ended with a tie. It was left like that and I think that was great for the kids just to have fun.

Was not having a very good morning Saturday figured it was going to be one of those days. Spent the morning checking out cameras I really need a better camera for better zoom quality.

Well from there I decided I wanted to saddle a horse up to ride. Now this is where I'm going to plead insanity. Instead of riding my horse (Freckle) that is an old retired feedlot horse point being some cowboy out there pulled many wet saddle blankets off of him is the same every day no matter how long I go without riding him. Me being the great wife I am and knowing Tim can not ride his horse right now I picked his horse to calm my mind and spirit. HUGE MISTAKE!!!!! He took 4 steps and decided he didn’t want me riding him. You name it did it but just not with all he had or I would have been eating dirt. I have been riding since I was a little girl and have never had a horse do the things he done. That being said I’m going to take up for the horse now. This is a great horse has never done none of these things Tim had trained him to shoot off of so you know by that he is just calm and relaxed. But Tim also knows how to ride a lot better than I do and he rides differently. I will be getting back on this horse again sometime just to prove to myself and that sweet thing I’m going to ride him without trying to get rodeo points. Next time I want to calm myself I’m picking Freckle.

And The Games Begin

Started my day by going to school to see if something Zach had lost was found by the school. Well I’m glad to report that it did belong to Zach. I’m proud of my son he had told me from the beginning what he thought had happened and a month into it all came out and he was right. My son is growing up to be such a nice young man. And already at his age will stand up for something that he believes in. Wonder who he gets that from!!!! Best recent pic I could find of him. Need to get me a better camera.

Tiffany and I helped deliver plates that the FMS sold. We had a great time doing that and from what I was told they did really well. WAY TO GO FMS!!!!!

Zach’s team had a practice game against Pine Hills this afternoon and it was a great game. I saw some great plays boys and I'm very proud of yall. Zach and Boo that was a great play ya did. Way to go. I forgot the finally score but it was 4/5 to ZERO.

Not really much to say for today. We had to make a quick run to Hattiesburg again. But will say we did make it back in enough time before the rain started again.

Never a dull moment around this house started very earlier this am. Hayden was sitting on the counter by the ice box begging me to come see he needed to talk to me. I go to the kitchen to see what all the fuss is about. He begins telling me about Tappy AKA Fat Cat looking at something around the ice box. I’m thinking on no not another mouse in the house. Not uncommon living in the middle of a pasture. But then I notice the sad face on my baby and realize something is wrong. Almost with tears he begins to tell me that it may be Velvet (hamster) since she is not in her cage. I freak cause not only is he attached to the lil bugger so am I. Plus I have to many critters around that can eat her before I even begin looking for her So we very slowly move the icebox out praying we don’t squash it in the process then I freak when I think of the fan. She is under the icebox and will not come out till I remember her favorite treats cheerios. But God was with velvet not only did she survive fat cat, rolling icebox, and the fan she has survived this family in general. Ill post picture of fat cat later guess him spending most of the night after poor ole velvet he snoozing under my bed.

Then on to the doc for a check up with Dr. Braden. All is well there just need to keep a watch on it because heart rate possibly wanting to elevate at times

Picked up report cards today and both my buggers did great as always one thing I normally don’t have to worry about......YET!!!!

Not really sure what I’m going to be talking about from day to day but after getting in from Jackson late Monday evening I knew what my first post would be about.
We came home to find my crazy goat playing with her favorite toy. Granted not just any toy it’s what we use to water her. After she started putting it over her head, neck, horns, or wherever she could get it on I was worried that it may strangle her, break a leg something so I took it from her. But she made it very clear that she wanted it and was not going to shut up till she got her toy back. So I leave it out there with her water in it and keep a close eye on her and the water.

Have you ever seen a goat get mad at you for taking its toy? Not a good thing she head butted me in the knee then began to chew on my purse, pants, bag from DG if I turned one way she was just going to chew on what was there so I gave up and decided to drop the stuff inside then come back to deal with her. Worked pretty well till she looked down and found dessert being my cute lil toes recently painted with“Cajun Shrimp” by OPI (color info for the girls we always looking for something new to try) and decided they looked tasty along with my flip flops.
